Practical

At Vespatoerist, we give you the choice. Either you pay a deposit, or you choose an extra insurance for possible damages. We leave the choice entirely up to you and will inform you sufficiently so that you make the right choice. Below is an explanation of the different options. Not sure yet? Don't worry, you only decide when you leave so we can give you more information on site.

Guarantee

If you opt for a security deposit, you as the renter take responsibility for any damage incurred. In concrete terms, this means that you leave us an amount in cash that will be claimed in case of damage to the vehicles. The amount of the deposit depends on the total number and type of rented vehicles. If you return the vehicles damage-free, we will of course refund your full deposit to you. If there is any damage to the vehicles, then the full damage will be recovered from the renter and, unfortunately, deducted from your deposit. If the damage is greater than the deposit left behind, we will invoice the extra amount on top of the deposit.

Insurance

Do you prefer complete peace of mind? Then you can opt for additional insurance for possible damages. Of course, this is not an obligation. If you opt for insurance, you do not pay a deposit.

With insurance, you pay an insurance amount on top of the rental price of your vehicle and are insured for any damages incurred with a maximum deductible. This deductible depends on which insurance you have purchased before departure. So if you do incur damage during the trip, you will pay the maximum deductible that corresponds to your insurance, even if the damage is more expensive. So you can hit the road with peace of mind.

Please note: Total loss and theft are never included in insurance.

Yes!

We highly value our good-weather guarantee. Is the weather not favorable on the day of your reservation or is there an unforeseen circumstance, no problem. Give us a call (via e-mail or phone) up to 1 hour before the scheduled departure and we will cancel or reschedule your reservation free of charge.

You do not pay a deposit either. Please note: if you have ordered food (BBQ, pasta buffet, sandwiches etc), we do have a minimum cancellation period of 4 working days as we also have to order (and pay for) this from a third party.

Tip: Did you order food and are you uncertain about the weather on the day of your reservation? Cancel the food you ordered 4 days in advance, so we don't have to bill you unnecessarily if you don't come. The Vespas, e-bikes or other vehicles can be cancelled until the day itself and we will gladly help you with a tip for a restaurant nearby.

Below is a summary of what driver's license is required to drive our vehicles:

• Vespa 50cc: Driving license B, AM/A3, A2, A1 or A
• Vespa 125cc: A1, A2, A or B (note: with a B license only in Belgium and if the B license is from after 30/04/2011, code 372 must be present)
• APE Calessino: A1, A2, A or B(note: with a B license only in Belgium and if B license is from after 30/04/2011 code 372/373 must be present)
• Fiat 500 Oldtimer: Driving license B

• Vespa 50cc: There are no legal dress code for a 50cc. However, we do recommend that you dress appropriately. For example, make sure you have closed footwear (no sandals or flip-flops) and appropriate clothing for the weather (raincoat, sunglasses, extra sweater).
• Vespa 125cc: A 125cc is a motorcycle so stricter rules apply. You are required to wear long pants, long sleeves, footwear above the ankles and gloves. This also applies to any passenger on the back.
  If you are not wearing the proper clothing, we cannot let you leave, you can switch to 50cc if there are still available.

Children are allowed, but it must remain safe and responsible of course. Below is an overview of the rules regarding children and our vehicles.

• Vespa 50cc: from 5 years of age, with children's harness (free)
• Vespa 125cc: idem 50cc and the rear passenger must also comply with the additional clothing requirements 125cc
• APE Calessino: No minimum age, possibly in child seat that you provide yourself (seat belts available in vehicle)
• Fiat 500: No minimum age. Please note that there are no seat belts in the back seat, this is not mandatory in a 1968 vehicle.

Private:

With Vespatoerist, you don't pay a deposit. You do pay the full amount of the rental, any deposit or insurance and additional options before departure.

You pay the deposit in cash, all other payments can be made by card (debit or credit).

Companies

All reservations and extras can be billed. Be sure to enter billing information with your reservation or group request.

If you cannot pay the total amount on the spot before departure we will ask you to pay the whole amount or a deposit (to be discussed at quotation stage) in advance.

Still bad weather, no worries. The good-weather guarantee applies to everyone. If you have already paid the invoice in full or in part for the day of rental, we will refund it. If you have ordered food, we do have a minimum cancellation period of 4 days as we also have to order this food.
